1996 Barros Colheita (bottled 2016)

Bottled 2016. Light brown in colour, very pale, less than 10% opaque. Fresh apples and pineapples on the nose. Pineapple and peaches on the palate, languid but with a bitter core at the centre. A slight, bitter finish with good length. 87/100. Tasted 02-Mar-16.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
