2011 Quinta do Sagrado

Quinta do Sagrado. Deep purple in colour with no rim. Subdued nose of blueberries and crushed nettle leaves. A wonderful textured port, so smooth and silky. At first this shows generous ripe fruit then huge tannins dominate the mid-palate but the port never loses its beautiful fragrance. The finish is tremendous. A great port. 94-96/100. Tasted 02-Mar-16.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
