2013 Rozes Terras do GriFo

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

From Rozes. Scarlet in colour, not the purple of some young ports. Grass and seaweed on the nose, a unique combination. Sweet fruit on entry with the lovely fruit balanced by green tannins giving a great balance and a wonderful palate. Huge tannins lead on the aftertaste and give an enormous finish. Very impressive port. 92-94/100. Tasted 02-Mar-16.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
