1961 Calem Colheita (bottled 2016)

Bottled 2016. Light brown in colour with a hint of green - the colour of young willow wood. Little on the nose, just a touch of sweetened VA. Lovely delicate honey flavours and fresh green apple acidity. This develops a nice weight on the mid-palate before leading on to a lingering clover honey finish. A delicate and elegant port. 89/100. 22-Apr-16.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
