1941 Kopke Colheita

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Dark olive brown in colour, 20% opaque. Fragrant nose, bringing the typical colheita smells. Rounded texture but little initial flavour. Slow to deliver on the palate but eventually becomes a lovely mouthful with good balance, good acidity and lots of layers of flavour. Huge finish. Delicious. 90/100. 22-Apr-16.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
