2013 Niepoort Bioma

Deep purple and opque. Sweet on the nose with candied blackcurrants. Smooth entry with the blackcurrant lozenges smelt in the glass. Dry tannins grip firmly alongside the powerful fresh fruit. Good blackcurrant and chocolate finish. 88/100. 22-Apr-16.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
