2011 Sandeman LBV

Bottled 2015. Reddish colour, opaque. Restrained nose, slightly smelly. Bramble fruit entry, sweet and ripe. Tannins show slowly and are very modest at first but build up nicely. The ripe tannins give a slightly chewy finish and a great length with the finish being the best feature of this port. 88/100. 22-Apr-16
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
