I recently celebrated my anniversary.
I proposed to my wife with a bottle of wine.
What was the vintage?
The vintage was also a declared year in port.

The Silence of the Lambs was released in February of 1991, but that means it was not eligible for the Academy Awards until 1992.
Ergo, 1992 is my guess.
FWIW, I don't believe that 1992 is considered a general declaration. Isn't it generally considered a split declaration with 1991?

This past weekend, my mother-in-law gave me something that I have used before in a recipe with Port to make something very delicious.
What did she give me?

Not mustard, not meatloaf.
I don't know that it is what you'd call a classic pairing with Port, but it is a reasonably common dish prepared with Port. I've seen several different recipes for it and have made one myself. What she gave me is the main ingredient.

Correct! She has a pear tree in her backyard that I never knew about until this year. I've made Port-poached Pears in the past and the recipe is quite good, so I mentioned it to her and she brought me some of this year's harvest.

I am envious.
While I am confident that I could have as many pears from my mother-in-law's tree as I would like, that tree is 50 miles away. And sadly, my yard is far too small to support another tree so I cannot simply plant one myself.

I've been busy at work or at home doing domestic stuf trying to move the build on.
Simple question, which DRT is not allowed to answer until at least 5 other guesses have been made.
What am I drinking tonight as I write this question?
(Clue - the answer is not, nothing)

The drink is not whisky and does not contain whisky.
The answer to this question will not just require the generic description of the drink, but more detail than that.
