When I was a small boy (sub-10) I went on a seaside holiday with my parents. We went to see a performance by a then well known stand-up comedian. At that show the comedian gave me a Mars bar because he had used me in one of his "front row" gags.

Who was the comedian?
Bernie Winters.

No. He died in 1971, which was probably a year or two before this event.

Sneaking into the girls school at night always caused that reaction.

So far the guesses have been from slightly (or entirely) the wrong era.

Think OY and you will be more in the zone. Although, to the best of my knowledge, this subject has not yet been questioned.

Thanks, now anyone we mention will quite legitimately be able to sue us. Adds a certain zest to guessing; Rolph Harris?

You have both misread the clue.

People involved in OY are largely from the same era as this guy, who isn't one of them.

I know. It's just that when a solicitor advises you to transfer all your assets out of your name, your careful:paranoid ratio alters a little.

The fridge magnet question;

I have three fridge magnets, one has a caption, one has a face on a sort of peg thing, one is a plastic model foodstuff.

Name the caption, type of face or foodstuff.

The caption will be difficult I will therefore pre-clue it. It depicts child praying.
