I saw Macca somewhere on the horizon of Hyde Park at Live 8 as I was leaving, Sam Brown I have seen several times as Jools Holland's main supporting singer and Glenn Tilbrook about twelve times with Squeeze, once with the Fluffers and twice with just an acoustic guitar, the last of which was for my fortieth birthday and he was brilliant.

Some luck in that guess as shown by my having them in the wrong order.

This thread started with a question about a film based on a book. The filmmakers changed the colour of something presumably out of ignorance and doing so destroyed the meaning of the parable. What item; what was the colour in the book; what was the colour in the film? (For extra smugness summarise the parable.)

Some scholars have theorized that the images and characters used by Baum and Denslow closely resembled political images that were well known in the 1890s, specifically the debate of the day regarding monetary policy: the "Yellow Brick Road" represents the gold standard, the silver slippers (which were ruby slippers in the film version) represent the sixteen to one silver ratio.

Apologies for tardiness in responding - my laptop inherited a series of Trojans yesterday from somewhere and the virus checker took hours and hours to find and delete them all.

The link provided by g-man reveals that Yanks do not call a Multi-gym and Multi-gym, they call it a Bench. My Multi-gym is called a Multi-gym for all purposes, including this quiz.

A nautilus is a multi-gym, so my guess was 0110. It's one of those brand names like "Kleenax" or "Aspirin" that ended up being used in the common vernacular, at least in the midwest when I was growing up. I missed the treadmill because its correctness wasn't quoted properly.

I thought a little more about this. You could argue that my favourite film is a comedy, but that is not the genre with which it is usually associated. However, it is certainly not a serious film by any means.
