Bass tuba?
I have a good question, but it has only a few hours shelf life remaining. So I’d like to win. But this objective is slightly hampered by my having no idea what the answer might be.

By liquorice stick I actually meant clarinet. Sorry, terrible joke.
The really 'out there' one is the Lambeg drum.
Viola is correct. Common enough in orchestral circles, but otherwise a bit uncommon.
Clarinet is a no.
Lambeg drum is a no. Still too esoteric (I've never heard of it).

Recorder it is. Tenor in my case, because I have hands large enough to manage. Alto and Soprano are small enough that just about anyone can reach. Bass uses keys, so again just about anyone can play it. Tenor requires large hands.
Since the official question was to find the unique-ish instrument, it is Owen's turn. But bonus points to Daniel and Derek.

Well it is a lozenge shaped stopper. And it is star cut. So I would say that a picture of the gherkin is about as near as I could hope to get.
Go Glen!
