Seriously? You are guessing a series with 13 episodes?

Clue 2: it is set in the north of England.

This is what has been holding me up. Apart from other traffic on :tpf: cross checking six episodes, two series takes it out of me. Now I've got to add north of England into the search. The next is a guess and a whistful longing;

Happiness?

Clue 3: There is a connection to the Royal Family.

The only set used is named after something connected with port (and wine).

Citizen Khan has 13 episodes you numbskull.
I am beginning to disbelieve Derek's assertion that the BBC commonly make comedies of 2 series and 12 episodes in total. Tell us the other examples.

The first was a pilot. Now that's having your cake and eating it.

Butterflies? (I bet it is, even though he'll never own up to it)

Heartburn Hotel.

I have never heard of most of the dire things on that list.

Butterflies ran for years didn't it? I remember it clearly.

Pilot episodes and Christmas specials don't count. Fawlty Towers, The Young Ones, The Office.

"Grapes" is included in the name of the only set used in the entire series.

So it's set in a pub. There's a pub in Farringdon called the Hoop and Grapes which always causes great mirth to my Northern Irish friends, as the two words have different meanings here.

Not Amarillo.
Nor San Francisco, though thanks for the style tip.
This is sort of work-related. But it isn't actually 'work'. And it isn't 'work' in the sense of the day-to-day work that pays for most of my port chits.

Well you'll only see me if there's crowd shots. Although I did do a piece for local tv about this. Anyway it's on channel 4 now. I can't really go much further than this. Since it's Owen's turn I presume it's his question.

I have whittled and smoothed down the edges as best I can and here it is.

I have a fondness, but not the finances for oriental rugs. I have bought one which was sold to me not as a rug but as something else.
What was it sold to me as being and where was it from? I shall spare you the job of identifying the pattern and the approximate date.
