OK, good question Owen.
How long will I be stuck asking and answering questions on subjects of only passing interest to me and none to anybody else? The subsidiary question is why?

I claim the question:

No. Not even close.

On that afternoon I took a photo of an imperfectly drawn Union Jack. Would it be of any help if I were to post that photo?

No, thought not.

You were all visiting the Churchill War Rooms.

The game is a little slow with so few players; We've barely started to guess at this one.
In the meantime while awaiting my turn I shall therefore muse a little and see if the quizmaster wishes to comment...
What could 1 woman and three men do together? Avoiding the more risqué options, they are a wide range of possibilities, such as attend a ceremony, visit an attraction or location, see a show, buy or browse for some item(s); unlikely to be marriage (of the parties involved) as JDAW was ruminating what to drink afterward and was considering Warre LBVs; from that same thread, the afternoon was obviously pre-planned, implying an appointment or preference to avoid plan change. Quite a broad area to guess at. We need more guessers, to generate more guesses, to garner clues.

Not the war rooms or the opening of something.

Several candidate guessers are excluded from this question, which might be lessening the tempo. It would be very unfortunate if this question killed the thread.

Was that double negative deliberate and a clue, i.e. to do with somebody's business empire, just not yours?
Can we also confirm whether the woman joining DRT, JDAW and AHB was a family member/partner of one of these, or an official being visited?
Latest guess: One (or more) of you was revising your will(s).

I can't believe that with all the clues given no-one has come up with the right answer - it's so obvious!
A summary of all clues, not just the ones which JDAW has posted:

Yes, but what could the "something" be?

Seems to bring us back to marriage/civil partnership, but we eliminated that... Aside from that we have births and deaths, not sure of anything further; adoption? (Mostly just guessing something I'm fairly sure is wrong to give someone else with a better idea the chance to go!)
