1971 Dalva Golden White Colheita (bottled 2013)

Bottled 2013. Pale honey brown colour. A powerful nose of pistachio paste and ground almonds - typical of the nose I would expect from a colheita. Honey sweet on the palate yet with a great lime acidity with the two combining together to give a medium weight palate (and a nice, thick texture) that has a delicate floral presence. A glowing aftertaste follows and leads to a long finish of soft orange blossom honey. This is a lovely delicate port which has a real presence. 94/100. 06-May-15.
