NV Ferreira Tawny (Dona Antonia Reserve)

Dona Antonia Reserve Tawny. Brick red in colour with a slight orange rim. A little gentle VA in the glass and a hint of plasticizer. Nice texture on entry, then a powerful wave of fruit and acidity. The acidity dominates and focuses the mid- and late-palate. Lovely flavoursome sensations on the aftertaste and finish. Rather a powerhouse compared to the Sandeman tawny. 87/100. May 2015.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
