1963 Cockburn
A bottle acquired from JDAW. I deduce this bottle was light damaged at some point in its life as it is a very pale amber-gold colour, 20% opaque. A faint nose of bruised and over-ripe oranges. On the palate this has a smooth texture and a good dose of acidity. There is an interesting butterscotch but over this and dominating this is an excellent flavoured lime and orange acidity. The powerful orange acidity carries through on the aftertaste and long finish, where it sits alongside a burnt toast tone. Nothing like Ck63 should be, but drinkable for a while. 84/100. 03-Nov-15. Pop 'n' pour.
