Cloudy appearance, opaque. Medicinal nose mixing antiseptic and menthol. Sweet fruit, nicely balanced on the palate. The tannins are firm and the acidity lively; the fruit nicely perfumed. A little hollow on the aftertaste but recovers on the finish with length to the fragrant red licorice. 89/100. 17-Mar-16.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
