2011 Niepoort Bioma

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep magenta with a narrow rim. Smooth nose with fruit but also restraint. Opulent fruit on the entry to the palate, with lots of intense and ripe blackcurrant. The tannins are firm and coat the cheeks and teeth in dryness. Wonderful fruit, as perfect as it gets. An immensely chewy finish ending with the wonderful and opulent fruit. 92/100. 22-Apr-16.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
