2011 Sandeman LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Subdued nose, a little dark fruit and blackcurrant. On the palate this has power and generous black cherry. Tannins provide a firm grip to the mid-palate and introduce a lovely dark chocolate to the flavours. The finish is long and full of sweet fruit and dark tannins. Tasty port with power. 88/100. Drunk 03-Nov-16. Pop 'n' pour.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
