2014 Quinta da Gaivosa

From Alves de Sousa. Deep maroon colour. Tanky nose with some odd chlorine tones over fresh baked biscuits. Pure fruit shows on the entry, raw and untainted, followed by a wave of tannin and harsh spirit - not knit together yet. The fruit on the aftertaste is pure and very focused with a good length. 86-88/100. Drunk 07-Nov-16.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
