2010 Quinta do Sagrado Nova LBV

Bottled mid 2016. Mature red appearance with a wide rim. Fresh sea salt and iodine on the nose with an odd iodine flavour on entry which gives a dirty taint to the fruit. The dirty fruit with some tannins dominates the mid-palate with the tannins giving good grip and lasting well. Alcohol and burnt sugar dominate the finish. This is either a poor wine or a poor bottle. Not Rated. Drunk 07-Nov-16.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
