Made by Joao-Nicolau de Almeida (junior). Deep purple in colour with a narrow purple rim. Rich blackcurrant and blueberry nose, very pronounced and very attractive. Rich fruit entry then an astonishing grip on the mid-palate with huge levels of fruit giving a superb combination. Great fruit aftertaste and a finish that is just as good. A very fine 2014 vintage port. 91-93/100. Tasted 07-Nov-16.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
