2014 Pintas

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Reddish-purple colour with fresh and harsh fruit on the nose. Pure fresh fruit on entry, backed by plenty of ripe and nutty tannins. Pure and fresh on the late palate. A huge, perfumed mouthful with great grip and an everlasting finish. Superb. 93-95/100. Tasted 07-Nov-16.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

Was considering picking up a case of this. Interesting TN, and a great score.

Had the Pintas VP '14 twice and scored it 94 and 95 respectively (but I must confess I'm a great fan of Sandra's wines :D )

That's good to know, I'll probably get the case next week. I like their wines as well, both Port and DOC Douro.
