1985 Graham

Mature red, 60% opaque. Candied fruit on the nose. Sweet, spiced and gently fruity on the palate - always giving the impression of holding something back. Tannins make a late appearance but the whole impression is of overly sweet fruit. The aftertaste is amazing, full of tannin and All Spice but all wrapped around a very sweet fruit jelly. The finish has astonishing length. A pretty big wine, but this bottle is a little over-sweet. 92/100.

Drunk at the Berry Brothers Port Walk on 24 Nov 2016.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
