2004 Graham Malvedos

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep red but with no youthful purple; opaque centre. Highly perfumed nose, full of violets and sour blueberry. Smooth, fruit led entry with generous bramble fruit. Powerful tannins grip the mid-palate, which is full of perfume and fruit. Lovely chocolate tones appear on the finish which has a slight sparkle of heat. The finish has good length with sticky bramble fruit. Lots of potential for the future. 89/100. Drunk 21-Feb-17.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
