2012 Quinta do Noval

Dense and dark purple in colour with a narrow rim. A fabulous nose full of cornflowers and crab apples. The palate is smooth and full of fresh complex fruits. Lots of grass shows in the cherry and blueberry fruit backed by great tannins. Fruity and chewy on the finish, which is truly amazing. 93/100. Drunk 04-Apr-17. Decanted 4 hours.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
