2015 Ramos Pinto

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Drunk at Ramos Pinto.

Purple in color with a narrow rim. Restrained nose with a little sour blackcurrant. Very smooth texture, almost silky. Big tannins mixed in the fruit, with the tannins dominating and the fruit ripe and round. Huge chewy aftertaste which quickly releases to leave lingering and perfumed fruit. This is really lovely and elegant. 91-93/100. 23-Jun-17.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
