Deep red colour, mature with a brick tone; 60% opaque. A lovely fresh red cherry fruit nose, with just a hint of earthiness at the core of the cherry - very nicely developed. Sweet, velvety texture on the palate with fragrant red cherry fruit managing to be lively and balanced with an unexpected rose fragrance on the mid-palate and a bit of a pine needle bite on the late palate. Some heat shows on the finish before a dark cherry finish. This is a lovely, rich and balanced wine which is richer than the Dow, Graham and Warre tasted alongside it. 91/100.
