Cork came out fairly cleanly, only the bottom quarter breaking. Level excellent. A small amount of thick sediment, a small amount of coffee-granule sediment. 1 hour decant.
Tawny pink, barely opaque anywhere. Nose of mint and heat. Rose hips early, some marmalade notes mid-palate, tobacco notes late, fruit long gone. Warm finish.
Elderly but pleasant port. Drunk twenty years ago might have been quite good.
Largely consumed (with co-tasters) 19/10/20.
A small amount was left for tasting on 20/10/20. It was no longer drinkable.
Note: label clearly reads 'crusting' not 'crusted'.
