1994 Graham colheita, from a 5cl supplied by Vintage Wine and Port (• planning, • placemats, • Symington presentation). Tasted eight days after the official event. TNs: 1994; 1990; 1982; 1974; 1963.

Nose of sugar and distant marmalade. Fresh, citrus palate, and hint of bright cherry, very soft, heat mid-palate, big and full. Great length, with some burnt notes coming late. Very very long. This is properly delicious.

VW&P have a 4½ litre of this, so six bottles in one, at £545, equivalent to almost £91 per baby bottle. It’s a fantastic wine, so that is actually good value.

Twenty days later: citrus strong, and heat, marmalade, rounded and big and full still. Heat bigger than last time. Very long. Liked, lots.

Agree, it's beautiful. Needs another 10yrs, but then...
