From 90ml
P'n'P
Orange rimmed mahogany tint.
Nose of woody varnish and star anise.
Very sweet wine on first impact in mouth, dark muscovado.
But resolves quickly to a hint of something with exotic perfume - tinned guava, I think - with a nice sharp/sweet balance.
Then a little later the dark muscovado sweetness starts to dominate again.
Then some white pepper, very late.
Ultimately not more than very pleasurable. I preferred the slightly brutish 2004 with which I compared and contrasted it tonight.
