1975 Berry Brothers (Quarles Harris)
Orange rather than red. Strong note of pine needles and tobacco on nose - very dominant aguardiente. Spirity on palate. No great finish. For my money quite successful for a 1975, but it divided opinion.

The previous evening. So, would have been 20-22 hours prior to drinking. It was double decanted back into the bottle and Vac-u-Vined.

Quarles Harris. Double decanted and vacu-vined the evening before the tasting. Very pale copper colour, perhaps 10% opaque. Unpleasant nose of overly old Ogen melon. Light bodied entry, bitter sweet with lemon oil dominating the palate giving a lot of bitterness. The lemon bitterness follows onto the long finish. This is light, bitter but long. 84/100. Tasted 02-Feb-22. Decanted 22 hours.

30% opacity, amber. Nose has rubber, pine. In the mouth, syrupy, good sweetness.
