2015 Quinta do Crasto LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Decanted at 18.00 the prior day and drunk at 19.20. A dark, deep red with no rim. Blackcurrant nose, fragrant and attractive. Fruit on the palate, a lovely dark cherry yet with gentle tannins holding the wine in balance giving a lovely palate. Black cherry finish. The wine continues to show very well! 90/100. Drunk 17-Jan-23. Decanted 1 day.
Top Ports in 2022: Quinta do Noval Nacional 1931. I have never drunk such a wonderful bottle of Port. I cried with joy.

2023: Fonseca 1966. There are not many better Ports, except a good bottle of Fonseca 1927. Wow!
