Something off, lurking in the background, on the nose. Others thought it might be TCA, but pretty sure it wasn't that.
Offness carried forward into the mouth. Not liked.

Not sure about this on the nose.
Very sure it's not right on the palate.

W83. Dark dark red, 80% opaque. Soft, bland, dry mid-palate. Harmless.

E: A pretty red colour, tending to light brown at the rim.
N: Hmmm. A strange yet muted note on the nose (certainly stranger than its BBR colleague).
P: Disliked more and more as the evening went on.

Dark rose red colour, appearing to be in a phase of early maturity; 80% opaque. Initially the nose was quite pleasant but the a rosemary / antiseptic note developed over the fruit. The wine was smooth on entry showing some red liquorice, but then the unpleasant dry tone to the fruit and the damp cardboard showed the wine to be slightly corked. Not Rated. Decanted 3½ hours.
