Nose was deeply odd and quite unpleasant. There was less VA in a bottle of nail varnish remover. Palate considerably better than the nose, but still not good.

Browning.
Over the hill, or heat damaged, on the nose.
Alas, this is not good.

K83. Brown, 30% opaque. Soft raisin, brown sugar, heat mid palate, good length. Over-mature, but liked.

Bronze in colour with a tinge of red, 40% opaque. A wonderful russet apple smell coming out of the glass, later backed up by some sour cranberry. Light and elegant on the palate, with red apple and dusty cocoa powder; a touch of coffee on the aftertaste and finish. Light, but quite tasty and elegant. 89/100. Decanted 3½ hours.
