Another odd, VA dominated nose. Not as bad as the execrable Kopke though. Palate was wrong.

A bit sharp. Musty. Unexciting at best. Not the worst wine here, which is unusual.

Fd83. Dark red, 60% opaque. Weird, dry, acrid. Just no.

E: Mid-red, tending to red at the rim.
N: Mustiness / damp.
P: Musty and acrid.
Disliked immensely.

Slightly cloudy with fine sediment in suspension, a mature bronze colour. A faint hint of caramelised redcurrants on the nose. A nice impact on the palate, sweet bramble and sharp star fruit - an odd but attractive combination. Nicely balanced mid-weight wine with the tannins nearly fully integrated into the fruit. The finish, of tinned mandarins, is a little unexpected but lasts a long time. An "interesting" wine. 85/100. Decanted 4 hours.
