2005 Quevedo Colheita (bottled 2021)

Quevedo 2005 Colheita, bottled 2021 in 9cl for the 2021 advent calendar. Pop and Pour. Very dark red in colour, opaque centre. A lovely nutty / figgy nose. Big palate presence, full of flavour and fruit. Lots of acidity and a building presence of firm tannins. A touch of burnt sugar and rhubarb fruit on the aftertaste and long finish. This is a very impressive colheita.  92/100. Tasted 02-Mar-23. Decanted 1 hour.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
