NV Villa Oeiras Carcavelos 15YO “Superior”, matured in oak casks. Darker in colour and tone than the 7YO with a hint of olive green in the tone of the colour, 20% opaque. Sweet citrus on the nose, an orange reduction. Slightly thickened texture on the palate, richly fruited, full of preserved orange zest. Great acidity keeps the wine full of zing, perfectly balancing the honeyed orange. The acidity makes the mouth water on the aftertaste, releasing a wonderful rich orange finish of impressive length. Thoroughly delicious. 91/100. Tasted 10-Mar-24.
