Decanted 1 day.
I am trying to decide whether this is really good or not.
The colour is promising; 85% opaque, suffused with red to the rim.
Nose definitely in the prunes chocolate and Black Forest gateau spectrum with a little Concord grape very late.
An immediate wash of cool rich blue fruits on the palate with milk chocolate following.
Masses of fruit on the finish. Relatively few tannins.
Conclusion: it’s very good port. But fully ready. I do not think I have more, but nor will I buy more.
