2015 Taylor LBV

Post by rich_n »

Opened in the week coming up to Christmas 2023.

PnP

On the nose this has deep red cherry and an earthy nose. Maybe some caramel sweetness?

Spicy fruit on the palate, strawberries leading the charge, maybe with a little vanilla. A minerality that grounds it all, coming back around to that spice again. Some chocolate late on, dark and powdery, and a eucalyptus note.

Still very enjoyable, this has a lovely peppery spice to it that balances out the fruits. My drinking buddy suggests it's a touch sweet and I can't disagree but we're both on our second glass so it can't be too much of an issue.

This is a very enjoyable LBV, with more depth to it than the bog standard ones.
