On Tuesday 23rd July 2024, at the Boot & Flogger, some of us tasted a matrix, 1960, 1963, 1966, of Warre, Graham, Sandeman, Fonseca, and Taylor, as arranged by mcoulson.

Fonseca 1960, bottled by Peatling & Cawdron. A lovely evolved brick-red colour; 50% opaque. Sweet fruit on the nose, dried and concentrated. Just as concentrated on the palate, sweet black fruit - ripe with a hint of black liquorice and a sprinkling of tannins. Big and glorious aftertaste. Such a delicious wine! My wine of the night. 96/100. Tasted 23-Jul-2024.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
