1982 Offley

1982 Offley Boa Vista. One of the Blenheim Palace bottles acquired from Corney & Barrow, August 2024.

Opened 9 September 2024 for TPF 1982 tasting the following day.

Bottle in excellent condition. Level into neck. Good capsule, no seepage.
Cork still pretty good. Decanted 1950. Lots of heavy sediment.

Good colour & nose. No obvious problems with QA sample.

Will get an hour in the decanter before being rebottled and VacUVined.

60% opacity, mature red, pink rim. Nose has strawberries and cherries, nicely concentrated. Full rich mouthfeel, smooth and syrupy, chewy cherries, great length. Nice port.
