NV Graham Tawny 20YO (bottled 2024)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled 2024. A lovely orange syrup nose, sugary but floral and very expressive. Orange reduction dominates the palate, with orange oil and caramel the dominate flavours on the aftertaste and long finish. Despite the recurring sugar flavours, the wine is well balanced by its acidity. This blend is not how I remember the wine, and I really like the change. I like less the change in pricing - the 20YO tawny now has a suggested retail price of £54 per bottle! 89/100. Tasted 18-Feb-2025.

There was also news that a VVO (80YO) blend has just been approved by the IVDP and will be released in very small quantities later this year.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
