Err, I have a lot of '55 and probably 20-25 different producers. Would love to come. I can fill in some gaps once everyone has declared what they are bringing.

I can bring mags of Noval and Sandeman '55 too.

I'll be over in the UK in June/Early July and October.

This now looks like it may happen late June/July.
While I want to stick to 14 people given the 70th anniversary and wide and varied list of Ports we have between us this may need to morph into a larger than 14 ports or possibly even a lunch/ dinner tasting

I’ve updated the list of available wines to reflect what people have posted and what I have available.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

This has now been fixed at Tuesday 1st July.
Venue currently the Boot and Flogger. This has been booked for lunch and dinner as I would like to make this a deep horizontal to honour the Vintages 70th anniversary.
Can you please also reconfirm you can make it on this date.
Please confirm you can do lunch and dinner, I would prefer people to attend the full event.

16 producers already, nice. I will do a proper look soon but I know you can add the following to the list for sure: Niepoort, Ferreira, Hooper's and Smith Woodhouse.

I'll bring D'Yquem as well.

I wish you all a fantastic tasting and will open a 55 close to you as well.

Same. Such as Roy asking me what I thought of the Port I was tasting, which was the Noval and not great, and me looking up to see Christian Seely looking at me from the other side of the table. He smiled and shrugged to let me off the hook.

Also Julian nearly going into shock when I tasted the 1955 Chateau Pichon-Longueville Baron (from magnum) and then handed the glass to Roy. Who, as I recall, shared it with Julian.

I really wish that I could attend this tasting, but I lack the vacation time for that many trips in one year.

Ah yes. I remember the concept of vacation time. Happily, now (nearly) every day is a vacation day.

That's a lot of producers, must include some of the rare ones that never seem to come up for auction, like Smith Woodhouse and Delaforce

A hearing dropping out of the diary means that I could now make this, so please add me to the reserve list. I would need to adopt, but since Tom and Cliff have pretty much everything and I will cheerfully fork over the readies, that should not be in and of itself a problem.

I have added names to the Ports which people have kindly offered to bring, there are still some missing and I will chase, at the moment I don't think we have enough Port to justify lunch as well but lets see what else comes up
