Glass sample bottles

-----------------------------------
I have been searching for suitable glass sample bottles for tastings, and have finally found two which meet my requirements. I have grown to dislike the plastic sample bottles I have been using as they stain easily, and I don't think they sustain the wine as well as a glass bottle. I originally found the bottles further down this post (bottle 1 and bottle 2), then subsequently discovered these wide-neck jars, on Amazon:

30ml: 30ml jar with alu closure works out at £0.35 a jar, however shipping bumps it up by a further £17.58.
50ml: 50ml jar with alu closure works out at £0.60 a jar.

I was thinking there may be an opportunity to group together and buy such things in bulk, but at these prices per jar, everyone can order for themselves if interested!

Bottle 1: 50ml, round, wide neck, good closure. ~£1.35 per bottle
Suitable for capturing a 50ml pour, and could be used to take home full tasting pours which have not been drunk.

Bottle 2: 30ml, square, "miniature" neck, "miniature" closure. ~£1.00 per bottle
Suitable for capturing part of a 50ml pour, and could be used to take home the remaining contents of a glass which has been tasted, but not emptied.

Replacement caps can be bought separately for both bottle types.

I've also found a supplier of wooden cases to carry the sample bottles, should anyone be interested in these also. Some examples being:

Is there a bottle with a larger neck, so that they can be filled from a glass?

Have not been able to find a glass bottle with a large enough neck. Which is why you need one of these:

That would be yet-another-thing-to-remember-and-to-carry. Which would not be necessary with a wide-necked bottle. Hence question.

Hence the sensible solution would be to have a wooden case for sample jars, funnel.

Perhaps I didn't search hard enough! How about this:

30ml: 30ml jar with alu closure works out at €0.26 a jar.

50ml: 50ml jar with alu closure works out at €0.30 a jar.

Edit (5 May 2025): Just checked, Spanish supplier, shipping costs quoted are extortionate.

I'm willing to receive them at my house in the Douro but then someone would have to pick them up and take them to the UK.

In advance of the 1970 tasting, have purchased these. £12.49 for 24 60ml bottles and associated kit (but no box).

Thx for the offer Miguel. I think the Spanish supply option has been bettered by Amazon.
