Somewhere in the the statistitcs in 'Who is Online' it says:

No. That number includes non-registered users and the high numbers are generated when search engines like Google and Yahoo scan the site to update their own index. They do this by setting a number of simultaneous processes crawling through all of the sections and threads looking for key words to index. Each of these processes is seen by the BB as a separate user.

I think that because ours was a new site and suddenly very active, the bots had a lot of work to do, whilst they had already got a lot done for :ftlop: so no need to send as many out.
Port is basically a red drink
