2024 Warre

Warre 2024. In contrast to the wine from Quinta do Vesuvio, the Warre has a centre which is just transparent. The fruit on the nose has a beautiful floral perfume to it with a little more structure in the palate. Gentle tannins support and guide the fruit, giving the palate a lovely density yet with a finesse that was unexpected from the expressive nose. A wicked little twist to the excellent quality fruit comes from a kick of red peppercorn that just adds another little frisson of excitement as the wine fades gently away on the long finish. 92-94/100.
