help with decant time for 1980 fonseca
I've seen comments about not one for the cellar.
Should I just pop and serve,
or will it still do good to decanter for 4 + hours?
or even 20+ hours?

F80? Four to six hours decanter time should be enough.

Which means, at least, that you can’t be blamed and therefore won’t be out of pocket. Even if you are disappointed.

Very sad. One big mistake made during shipping: The styrofoam packers should be placed in a sealed bag -- such as a clear garbage bag -- so that broken bottles don't leak from the box (glass won't puncture the bag as it's trapped in the styrofoam).
I am a little curious though, what happened to the other bottles?

I do hope you have given them a reduced offer to take these "damaged goods" off their handsg-man wrote:auction house just called.
one bottle shattered on the trip into multiple pieces.
5 bottles got heavily stained but in good condition.
6 bottles still in perfect condition.

Re: Re:
yea they credited me back the broken bottle, upgraded the shipping, refunded my shipping cost and gave me a bigger credit line for the next auction (dunno how that's a benefit but hey i guess it's something)DRT wrote:I do hope you have given them a reduced offer to take these "damaged goods" off their handsg-man wrote:auction house just called.
