Re: 1960 Horizontal
1960 is Uncle Tom's birth year. It would be inappropriate to organise a 1960 offline without Tom. I suggest that this could be the "Pre-Olympic TPF Warm-Up Offline" to be held in 2010 to coincide with the Winter Olympics and the Commonwealth Games...DRT wrote:I have a 1960 Cockburn. I have a 1960 Nacional that I have promised to open for Tom in 2010.

....and 2010 is also my 40th birthday when I had thought of opening my Dow 1960. Sounds like a theme is emerging!AHB wrote:1960 is Uncle Tom's birth year. 2010 it is then
I have eight different '60's to choose from, so with a little hunting we should be able to put together a dozen or so.

Re: 1960 Horizontal
Investigating Derek’s list of declarations compelled me to google “Quinta do Sibio†, leading to this instance of its 1960 vintage. Uncle T is allergic to retail; nonetheless, for a birth-year tasting, would it be worth paying the required £70?
No, thought not.
Edit: and for A‘V’B’s 10n'th birthday, how about Sibio 1963 at £51.06 a bottle?

Are we off topic yet?
If some kind and generous soul would like to present me with such as a birthday gift to commemorate my 49th birthday, I am sure that such a bottle would re-appear the next year and the gift-giver would guarantee themselves an invitation to my Porteous birthday celebration.jdaw1 wrote:Edit: and for A‘V’B’s 10n'th birthday, how about Sibio 1963 at £51.06 a bottle?
However, I fear we have strayed off topic
