2007 Pintas vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Yojng red colour, revealing crushed nettles on the nose over a very sharp cranberry. Surprisingly sweet on the palate, with dry tannins everywhere. Plenty of fruit in the mouth and an acidity in proper balance to the other components. Superb blueberry fruit. A dry aftertaste, with a tingling startand then a lovely lingering finish, which fades quickly. 86-88. Drunk 26 June 2009.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
